Hello and Welcome!
Come and join me at the warm, supportive, and life bustling Foothill Toastmasters Club this Tuesday morning at 6:15 am at the Lyman Creek Center, 1203 Gabrielli Drive in Roseville. You will want to come back for such another unforgettable fun educational experience with the Foothill Club. It just doesn’t get any better.
Every single time when I participate in a Toastmasters event, I leave invigorated and inspired to full potential. What a feeling! I never thought that attending a public speaking club would have such a profound impact on me week after week without exception. Yes indeed, every single meeting and other Toastmasters activities make me reflect and make me a better person, not just a better speaker or communicator for that matter.
It must be so, because the Toastmasters meetings and certainly our Foothill Club meetings allow us to express our thoughts, experiences and ideas on just about any subject. Every week a member of the club acting as a Toastmaster for that Tuesday proposes a theme. Throughout the meeting and especially during brief impromptu responses to the Table Topics we address the assigned theme from all angles. We talk about any subject: from teeth, to award-winning movies, to the American Flag, and many, many more.
Perhaps it’s no wonder that I’m a better communicator now than I was in October 2006 when I first joined the Foothill Toastmasters Club. Not only can I explain my point of view to my husband without fear of misunderstanding, but a few months ago when transitioning professionally I successfully completed all job interviews all resulting in job offers. And now, that I’m happy in personal and professional life, I find myself capable of observing and listening at large. Oh boy, and do I learn a lot just by listening?! Let me tell you: I’ve learned endless wisdom by being able to listen. And it’s the Foothill Toastmasters Club that taught me the skill of listening, and so much more. I can’t even begin to tell of all the benefits the Foothill Toastmasters Club gave me. All I can tell you is to come and check it out for yourself. Like my friend once said: “Give yourself a chance” just to find out that the unthinkable is achievable. It sure is true for the Foothill Toastmasters. We’ll see you there!
